Gon' to Arizona...

We're heading to Arizona. We're playing a team that is an undefeated powerhouse. It's all sounding very 1995ish to me.

I've been so excited all day, especially when I had to field several phone calls from my coworkers today. My bruin friend that teased me when we played each other for the NCAA Championship called to say she was waiting for the thank you, which I promptly delivered. My other friend called to tell me congratulations and said he'd like to see us win so there would be a NCAA and BCS champion from the same school and when has that ever happened? I work with some cool people.

I would've been okay with Michigan going instead of us, because, deep down, I love the institution of college football more than just the Gators (but only by about as much as Florida was ahead of Michigan in the final standings). A Michigan/Ohio State rematch would have been sweet for Michigan people, and I know how that feels because our National Championship was a rematch against Florida State, though I really don't think it needed to be two Big Ten teams in the final.

But I am glad it's us. I can't wait for January 8th.
