My pastor said something in the message today that has been resonating with me. We're talking about prayer, and how it's a relationship. More than that, it's a two-way relationship. We so often forget that. We treat God as if He's something we can call upon at our own will. He then went on to say (here's the good part) that if we can pull away from God for a time, why don't we afford Him that freedom as well? He allows us to come to Him anytime, and gives us the freedom to pull away from Him at times, so why don't we let Him do the same for us?
Just what I'm thinking about right now. That and the fact that as I'm reading Jane Eyre, it's clear that male/female relationships and miscommunications were as challenging of an issue "back then" as they are now.
