I've found a number of different crafty websites, so this morning I got up and went idea shopping. I went to an antique mall, where I found a picture frame and some glass bottles, and a couple of other trinkets that I will eventually turn into something utterly fantastic. I went to a little main street area in a local town, and got a few more ideas.
But then, I got the biggest idea of all. I went to Hobby Lobby (aka the mothership) and got inspired! I found an open-back frame that was on clearance.
On one of the websites, it gave instructions for making a message board using fabric and a frame. I got inspired and spent the evening making a message board for my sister's birthday. She saw one she wanted last Christmas, but I couldn't find it for her.
Well, I have some left over fabric from her room that I'd used for a picture frame of mine, so I made her a message board:
