I finished my advent calendar late late last night. I'm not really all that excited about it. I'm probably going to make a new one next year.
I also put up some more of my decorations. I'll call it my "international" table. The batik (cloth) is from Indonesia. The nativity is from Guatemala. And the angel says "Made in China" on the bottom. So there. International. I'd like to put my other Indonesian batik under the tree as a tree skirt, but that puts it in close proximity to Daisy, and that ain't happenin'.
Today was a lovely Sunday afternoon. I love watching how Daisy knows my routine so well, and how she interprets and gets excited about the things I do. She absolutely loves it when I change clothes (except in the morning, because she knows what it means.) Today was one of those days where I needed a nap. Not a crash-on-the-couch nap, but a put-your-pj's-back-on-and-go-back-to-bed nap. Remember me being up late late working on that project? It caught up with me.
So, I came home and went to change clothes. That got Daisy excited enough. Then, she realized that I was rearranging the pillows on the bed, like I do at night time. Well, that pushed her excitement over the edge. She hopped up onto the bed and started getting her "side" of the bed ready (bottom right corner...pink blanket). As I was getting my side all snuggly, she was getting her blanket all situated. Right about the time I got settled, I heard her let out a long sigh. So I did the same.
And I rested. Mmmm...it was good.
(more December Daily pages later...and maybe how I put together the advent calendar)
Ah I rested too. And yep, I wore my pjs and got on my clean sheets and enjoyed sleeping the afternoon away. Now I just wish it was Saturday.
