So tired after a long weekend with the girls.
I have a post, but it's stuck in my head and hasn't come out yet. It was going to come out and say hi on Tuesday, but that's when the Baby Daddy incident happened, and let's be honest...that post totally won.
However, I will leave you with a little conversation my mother and I had at dinner tonight:
mom: Are you an organ donor?
me: I would like to be, but it isn't marked on my driver's license.
mom: I never wanted to be one, but I've recently had a change of heart. (In my head, I'm thinking, no, you've recently watched some sort of Lifetime Move in which an organ recipient fell in love with the widower of the heart she got. I'm not judging. I'm just sayin's all.)
me: That's nice.
Then, it gets weird...
mom: Hey, I've been meaning to ask you...
(in my head: here we go...)
mom: have you ever thought about donating your eggs?
me: um, not really....
mom: I saw a thing about it on tv.
me: *speechless*
mom: a girl wanted to help out this family so she donated her eggs.
me: *still not sure where to go with this*
And that is a typical Saturday evening with my parents.

well, let me remind you she comes from our dear sweet aunt that still can't believe people of another race can be anything but a 'mammie' and never chooses to filter any of the crazy to keep from offending anyone. and your mom is her favorite. I was just over being bitter about that when she told me how fat I am and I was too tan, oh, and watch my kids they might get fat too... seems crazy is the family whole family line...

ReplyDeletePersonally I think you you sell your eggs. You could probably get at least $10k but up to $30k for them. Then you could donate the $ to organ donation efforts. See what your mom thinks about that.
