A weekend off...

Oh, how I have enjoyed a long weekend. So very needed. Now, if I could only get one more day.

Some of my favorite things from the weekend:
- "I gave her my heart and she gave me a pen." (Dissed in the Malibu?!)
- "What would you say is worse- a head injury or a burn on your foot?"
- How many Nora Roberts movies did they make?
- Catching up on the Love saga...five down, three to go
- Watching the movie "Stardust." Four times. In three days. Did I mention I own it on DVD?
- Easter dinner with my family, even if it was with my family...
- sleeping in
- conversations with a sort-of fireman...a whole other post in itself
- putting together and planning the next few weeks of school. It's going to be very interesting how it all plays out...but the ends will justify the means (meaning they will hopefully be worth the effort, time, and energy I'm putting into this)
- redoing my kitchen cabinets. I love my kitchen now...well, I will when it's clean...

Other events that were not so much enjoyed:
- thinking I was getting new brake pads, and ending up with new brakes. Bye bye IRS refund.
- taking Daisy to the groomer and getting a call from the groomer with her at the vet...they nicked her eyelid, but she'll be fine. She's a trooper, and is being a very good patient.
- waking up to hail and wondering how I was ever going to make it to church in that kind of weather wearing an Easter dress...chose a different, more weather-friendly dress.
- having to take the Easter basket with the chocolate in it because my sister really wanted the one that my mom put together for me. But Easter's not about the candy.
- buying a book that I read long ago because I remembered that I loved it, only to begin reading it and wonder why I loved it so much in the first place.

I'm glad I had the time to really rest and relax, and I'm glad that I took it. Now, moving forward into another week...
