One of the things I've noticed lately is that I can judge how good a show is by how willing I am to watch its reruns. With the Olympics dominating television, almost every show is a rerun. Most of them I delete before it's ever recorded, but a select few I continue to record so that I can giggle relentlessly at the offering. Two shows that I've been watching, even in reruns: Bones and The Big Bang Theory.
I've been a busy bee lately, and I only forsee it getting busier. But I've been making a list of the topics I'd like to cover in the near future:
- Lent. It's kicking my butt. In a good way.
- The annual "That's What She Said" bulletin board project, in which my students quote me.
- More phrases that people who work in offices don't say. "Come here and let me see how much you're bleeding" is an example of one.
- Things I've discovered watching television. Like how I should learn morse code.
And other miscellaneous things.
It's supposed to snow all day tomorrow.
I hope to hell they don't call off school.
