Who's that guy in the red shirt?

So, today I was able to do one of my favorite things ever in teaching.

Happy Little Wonders had shown me a video, and I immediately knew that my children.had.to.see.this.

We're starting a new unit in science about forces and motion and gravity and friction and magnets and all sorts of other things. Lots of things that show up in this video.

I won't bore you wtih the details of how I finally acquired the video, but I got to show it in my class today as an introduction to the unit, and to show them that by learning some of the basic principles of physics (you know- the stuff I try to teach them) they can really do some creative things:



As for the title, that's a question I asked at YL last night. It was all-county club, so we met up with all the other clubs in the area and went rollerskating. Don't worry. I took a picture of my skates.

Anyways, there was a guy there that was a leader from another area, and I found him very attractive. So, I asked one of the girl leaders who is in the know about all of it who the guy in the red shirt is. She toled me who he was, how very nice he is, and if I'd like her to do something. I told her no, but she assured me she'd keep that little tidbit in her mind. And it was done.

I want to date and marry and such, but I'm going nowhere on the path I'm on: keeping things to myself, being by myself, and only letting a precious few into those little areas of my life...well, I won't get far, will I?

So, even if it's just a simple question, I'm going to try to be a little bit more open to... anything and everything.
