Embracing summer

I understand that it is almost July. As in, Thursday is July.
I feel like I've been going nonstop since school let out.
Because I have.
School got out on Friday, I began WOW (VBS/music worship week) on Monday and it ended on Friday. I left Saturday for Colorado for YL camp, and got back yesterday afternoon.

I feel like today is the first day of my summer job.
In honor of summer, I've made a little change to the blog. A new header and possibly a new background.
Just for now. I love the old look and will probably go back to it for the fall.

To encourage myself to embrace summer, I made a little something I saw on another site, and will be hanging it on my wall here at home. (I'll put up how I did it on my other site).

It's a list of several things I want to do this summer to fully embrace the summer and to enjoy myself. I need little reminders of things I can do it the little times I have free during the summer, as opposed to sitting on the couch for an entire Saturday.
Here's the list:
Dye hair pink
paint pottery
go to Colorado
Palo Duro Canyon
go to a museum (or two, or three)
picnic in the park
baseball game
Toy Story 3
make ice cream
go out on a boat
cook something new
go out on a limb
play my guitar
watch old movies (all.day.long)
get Fancy
horseback riding
write a letter
climb a tree
take LOTS of pictures
pick flowers
get a massage (and a pedicure)
read books... lots and lots of books
paint my own canvas
take Daisy to the dogpark
go to the farmer's market for fresh veggies/fruits
swim often and get a little tanner
make Autumn to do list

The crossed out ones are already completed. So far this as already been a good summer. Even if I haven't really realized it's summer!
