mmm...last night was super. I had a friend's graduation party, and it was out in the sticks in a magical land called Bartonville, on this huge spread of land with a fabulous backyard created for entertaining. I drove down there, turned in to the long driveway, paused while the Canadian geese walked across the path. And the before-the-food prayer couldn't be heard over the donkey braying in the distance.
Lots of friends gathered around at folding tables, eating yummy food with plastic utensils, laughing and enjoying Joe Tucker's One Man Band and the cool breeze and loving each other's company, both old and new.
Ahh..His Kingdom Come.
