...not a Maxwell House commercial. Last night, I surprised Cara by driving to Lubbock at night instead of during the day today. I was greeted with "Freak show, what are you doing here?" Not quite the brother-comes-home-to-surprise-the-family commercial, but it's pretty indicitave of how we roll.
...eggs made by my little cousin, which taste just like my mother's. Which is an inside joke, since my mother makes awful eggs.
...methodically going through the ads. Until my cousin got up and had to get in the middle, which ruined the Circuit City ad.
...being stared down by a twelve-year-old because she needs the computer. And being asked by the nine-year-old if she can have the computer when I'm done, because she knows her sister wants it.
...fighting the temptation to stay on the computer all day long.
...laughing hysterically at the three dogs trying to get along, with about as much success as the two sisters here, but with much more hilarity.
...internally laughing because if I was with my sister, we (who have a good ten years on these two) would be fighting and arguing so very much worse, only, the text messages would be flying...
...getting ready to pull out all the scrapbook supplies out and get some serious creating going on up in here.
And that is just the beginning. And that is why I came here for Thanksgiving.
Oh, and let's not forget the fire-breathing turkeys and semi-brandishing pilgrims.
