I got my laptop back today! Yay! Joyfulness and singing and rejoicing...until I watched Lost.
I should have known better. After today, my eyes hurt and I was so tired I contemplated going to bed at roughly 7:52 when I came home, but couldn't ignore the precious interweb that I'd gone so long without.
My kiddos are sick. I've had at least two out every day this week. It's the same three, they're just rotating their days out. Day out, get better and come to school for a day, out sick for a day. Even the ones at school are not 100%. Because I've worked in the bacteria-infested environment called an elementary school for almost 9 years, I've developed quite the immune system. The bacteria are there, and they just wear down my whole body until I have to go to bed at 9:00. My eyes actually burn when I shut them.
Despite this, I decide to try to watch Lost. I don't exactly have a clue about what's going on before I turn it on, so trying to watch it with my foggy head is not helping. I'm just glad I DVR'd it so I can watch it tomorrow night and possibly understand what's going on.
Stay tuned tomorrow for another fun-filled tale of police involvement! Until then...
I'm out.
hi, i enjoyed your posting.
ReplyDeletebut i have a question that what it means;
that DVR or DVR'd is abbreviation for?
i've seen that word sometimes when i read
english native speaker's articles
but i don't understand.. cuz' i'm not
english native speaker. plz answer me.
thank you :)
DVR stands for Digital Video Recorder. Sometimes people call it TiVo, which is a brand name. It means that you can set your cable box to record a show if you can't be there to watch it, and then watch it later when it's more convenient.
ReplyDeleteI understand the language difficulties. I spend a good bit of time (2-3 weeks a year) in a Spanish-speaking country, and even though I spend 4 years studying Spanish, a lot of times my message doesn't get across!
wow, thank you thank you.. i got it.
