The mothership called, and I answered

I have not been to Hobby Lobby in quite a while. Like almost a month. I've been a smidge on the broke side. This weekend, I have the mother of all creative projects to work on, my school yearbook. I've got about 40+ pages to get done. Yeah, it's gonna be a long weekend and even longer Monday night. But that's not what this is about.

For this reason, I went to Hobby Lobby on the way home. I walked in to the store and immediately saw the sign for Valentine's Day decor and such at 66% off. But that's not what this is about either. That sign did lead me to finding what I was looking for.

This is, or should I say was, what my bathroom looked like. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it. The curtains were custom-made by my favoritest of all the seamstresses when I first moved into my apartment. It is very nice fabric, and it was obtained at a steal of a price. I even have matching towels and such. It's not bad. It's just remnant of my garden phase. And I'm past my garden phase.

I've wanted a new bathroom decor for quite some time, but the centerpiece rests on the shower curtain. And I just haven't found the right shower curtain yet.

When I want new things, but have perfectly good ones, I wait and wait and wait and wait some more until I find exactly what I need at exactly the best possible price. As in cheap. For example, I've needed a new tv stand for quite some time, but haven't found one that meet the criteria: cheap and good quality. When I went to Target last weekend, "tv stand" was not on my list. But when I found this one at 75% off, I had to have it. It was great quality, and oh yeah... already put together. So I got it, and it is wonderful.

Meet my new shower curtain. Isn't she lovely? Isn't she just an especially sweet slice of heaven? I was walking down the aisles looking for the cheap valentine goodies that may possibly be turned into scrappy wonderfulness, when what to my wondering eyes should appear? This beautiful damask pattern. I did not recognize at first that it would soon become the shower curtain of-my-dreams! I first found it in apron form and in kitchen towel form. They went into my shopping cart until the skies opened up, the angels sang, and I noticed the window panels. They were not advertised as shower curtains. They were advertised as Spring Splash Outdoor Dining, which meant they were advertised at 30% off. I got both of these panels, a.k.a. the bathroom of my DREAMS for a mere $30! (Updated to add: I just checked the receipt...the girl made a mistake and put them at 50%! I got these for $20!!!) I may or may not have twirled around a little in glee in the middle of the store. I'm just keepin' it real.

Now I just need to find/put together/create the matching accessories. These are the towels that went with the old curtain. They are no longer usable. The tins above them are a lovely off-white, but the new shower curtain of-my-dreams is white, so I must move them to a different part of my home.
Oh, and let's not even get started on the open-backed frames that were 80% off. I have so many hopes and dreams for them, dreams that were sprouted well-before the sale was discovered at Hobby Lobby.
Hobby Lobby: I love you. You are my everything.
