I learned today that I should always have my camera with me. I was getting ready to go to Target this afternoon, and looked at my camera. I thought, what could I find to take a picture of at Target? So I left the camera in my apartment. Because though it was Valentine's Day, it was a rather routine day.
Being single, I don't typically make a big deal of Valentine's Day. It's usually during a weekday, so we have our little party at school, and I go home and make myself a nice little dinner, and life goes on. Today, being Saturday, I just decided to have a normal little Saturday, doing things that made me happy, and watching whatever I wanted to on tv, including in indulging in a Lifetime movie network in which Dean Cain went from being a street hustler to a seemingly-wealthy, exceedingly-eligible bachelor thanks to an executive who is secretly doing it as a bet. You see where this one is going... I had to draw the line when the movie that was on after that was also starring Dean Cain, this time as a fireman who was about to get married but found himself falling in love with the wedding planner. A girl's gotta have standards.
So, I had the debate about the camera with myself and Daisy, who wasn't willing to participate or give advice because she was put in her crate and harboring a silent grudge. I decided not to take the camera, but saw the error of my ways when I went outside and saw this:
So, who is it? I can't in a million years figure it out. Is it someone from my apartment complex? I'm trying to figure out who knows where I live, and knows what kind of car I drive. I can't figure it out. I have no idea who it is. At all.
But, that's a good thing in some ways. For once, I can't control anything. I can't seek him out. I can't say manipulate conversations or anything to make myself look witty and good. I can't do anything but go along my merry way and see be myself and see if he makes a move of any sort. And that's how it's supposed to be anyway.
So, here I go, on about my merry way...
Things that make my world go round:
- hearing my favorite phrase "eleventy billion" used in my new favorite television show, "Leverage"
- even though the laptop's broken AGAIN, at least they fixed the battery, so I can milk the four hours or so for all it's worth.
- my favorite shows DVRed, with no time to watch them, so that I could enjoy them all on this leisurely Satruday
