I'm warning you...It ain't pretty.
Came home from school and had pizza dinner, since tomorrow night I'm eating out with my favoritest of aunts. I was under the impression it was bubbly Thursday, so I poured myself a glass of wine, but four sips or so later, I was a smidge too tired. So, here I am, hair mightily askew, and laying on the couch. Glad I didn't bring home any work to do.
I thought I'd be watching The Office (thus bubbly Thursday), but I was sadly mistaken. Some stupid ER three-hour finale. Who wants to watch that?! I still had my Bones, and I was good for that, but then, at 8pm, what was I to watch? I tried to watch a show on Bravo, but it was absolutely ridiculous, so I was forced to click on the guide, which would lead me to my ultimate downfall. Because I found the Hallmark channel. I am hopeless. And watching a movie about a con-artist in the 1800's who pretends to be a mail-order bride to hide out. Even though I'm less than an hour into the movie, I'm pretty sure she's going to fall in love with her mail-order husband. I'm going out on a limb there.
School today...well, it didn't end on a good note. I may have explained to my little princes in a rather loud voice that they were not ever going to anything in science except pencil and paper worksheets for the rest of their lives. While we were doing an investigation that demonstrated the different adaptations birds have developed in their beaks, I told the kids to wait patiently while I worked with this group of five "birds." What they heard was "feel free to roam around the room, make some noise, and end up wrestling on the ground with your friends." It did not go well.
It's annoying when that happens because usually it's after a day of good teaching and interaction with the kids. They just kind of lose it at the end. But, we'll start over tomorrow.
P.S. Further proof that I'm hopeless...there's a Love Saga marathon on Saturday and I've scheduled it to record every single episode. You know, all the movies they made out of the books by Jeanette Oakes. I've already planned when I'm going to watch it. I may need a program to get over this.
it's Lifetime Looser's Anom...
