The problem with watching an excess of tv movies on Hallmark, Oxygen, Lifetime Movie Network, and the new Ovation tv (because we need another fountain of television for women...) is that the majority of commercials are for eHarmony or involve cats. It's true. (And yes, I just set the DVR to record two more movies, but these were more mainstream chick flicks.)
On Friday, we were coloring a moth to reinforce what we've learned about camouflage, and one of my guys said "Wait Miss O. I thought you said we were never doing anything fun in science ever again." To which I replied "No, I just said you were never doing anything but paper activities for science. This is a paper activity." The sarcasm runs rampant in my classroom.
Speaking of sarcasm, today I spent the day at a dance competition. You can only imagine the comments running through my head as well as the ones coming out of my mouth. Cara and the girls were in town for a dance competition, so I got to spend the day with them. We watched dancers, we watched drama, we mocked many a person. We had a margarita, some potato skins, but sadly, no pickle. We shopped, and unfortunately, though we were shopping for her, I got all the goodies. Including a little something to add to my kitchen decor. I'm so excited I'm going to put it up right now!
Tomorrow I think I start my YoungLife journey. I'm apprehensive, but I know it will be worth it.
