Ten years ago was 9-9-99. And I got to spend it in Vegas, which was pretty awesome. I really wanted to tell the whole story of Vegas on today's post, since it happened ten years ago today, but it takes so much backstory that it wouldn't be fully understood without about six posts leading up to it. Let's just say it falls into the "Times We Lost Jimmy" category. Don't worry, I'll tell those stories this month as well...
I will tell you this. It was pretty fun being in Vegas for September 9, 1999. So many people were getting married so their spouses would remember the date. There were brides everywhere, and I got to see Jay Leno and David Letterman, who were both wandering around the casinos with the brides.
The funny thing was that it was a Friday night, and the bride was set on getting married on a Satruday, so she got married the next day, on 9-10-99.
When I get to the part where me and him broke up, I'll tell you all about Vegas. But for now, just enjoy the day. I'm sure right now in Vegas there are hundreds of brides roaming the casinos.
