Another, more appropriate quote from The Great Pumpkin: "AAAUGGHH! You didn't tell me you were going to kill it!" And yes, I'm watching on tv. For the second time. This week. And I love it. More than Sally loves Linus. And wouldn't that be the best name for an emo-type band? Sally Loves Linus. Maybe I'll start my own emo band. I digress...
Today was hilarious. I teach two classes a day. My kids science and math, and then KC's kids math and science. It's so fun because the two classes are very different. Today was no exception. We are studying water and today we talked about water filtration and I had them build water filtration systems. From 2-liter bottles and panty hose and coffee filters and clay and sponges and rubber bands and such.
My first group did so well. Couldn't have asked for better. They are my class, and I really enjoy them. We had time to go outside and test them. Let's just say the municipal water filtration engineer people should not be worried that their jobs are in jeopardy.

Then, the afternoon group. They're KC's group, and they're...well...they're...they're...
They're gonna drive me to drinking. At school. This group could not work together if their lives depended on it. It was so funny, ya'll. I couldn't help but laugh in spite of myself. If someone came into our classroom and said "work as a group or you will die", we'd have some casualties. Like 14 or so casualties. It was pretty funny. There was pouting and stomping of feet and grunting and groaning and at one point, I was afraid that someone was going to get hurt with the scissors. We never got around to testing them, so we'll save that for tomorrow. Lord help us.
Meanwhile, it's been a long week. It's now 8:04, and after I hit publish post, I'm going to bed. Seriously. There's no Glee tonight, so what do I really need to be awake for?
