Not much to write today. It was a beautiful Thursday, and I want to soak it in.
My kids were good. Really good. We had some down time, and they enjoyed themselves. There may have even been a little wild rumpus.
I got a new CD at Starbucks, and it is good. It's by The Swell Season (which is the duo that acted in and sang for "Once"). It is lovely. On a bit of a sad/angry/bitter note, I had just figured out how to reconcile my iPod to my iTunes, recapturing and discovering all along that I've had roughly 2000 songs that I thought I lost. Then, one of my clumsier wild things tripped over my cords and my external hard drive came crashing down, and now...no more iTunes. I'm not accepting that reality yet.
I got some one-on-one time with some of my kiddos afterschool, and at one point, one of my wild things was working on the computer. Downtown (now my second-favorite teacher at school) brought me the songs she's bought off of iTunes that are from the Glee soundtrack, and it made me happy. I was listening to this soundtrack when "Don't Stop Believing" came on, and out of nowhere, I hear "Just a small town girl..." coming from both my laptop and my computer area. I look over and while my wild thing is intently looking up weather patterns on weather.com, he's absent-mindedly singing along to the song.
Made. My. Day
Hey there! Just wanted to let you know that I made those little chicken packet thingies! Man...they totally rock! My husband is super picky, but I'm thinking a ham and cheese one or a pepperoni, cheese, and pizza sauce would be really good too!
ReplyDeleteHurry up with another George story sister! I am hanging on the edge of my computer chair!
