We sing. We dance. We walk around all day with our fly down.

A semi-quote from Jason Mraz's album title.

We are still going strong working on things for The Great Dog And Pony Show That Is Also Called Open House. We are doing a good bit of coloring and cutting and gluing. I bought glue sticks especially for the occasion, because our kindergarten buddies? Yeah...they're better with a glue bottle than the fourth graders.

Today, after I taught a quick lesson on the US/Mexico War (and I do mean quick), we pulled out the crayons and scissors and such. While the kiddos were working, I put on a little music, now that I've got my music back. Taylor Swift came on, and my kids broke.out.into.song. In unison. While working.

It was magic. And I kept it coming. We sang "Fifteen". We sang "Love Story." And, we rocked out to "You Belong to Me." I sang with the kids, and repeated a few songs, and we twirled around the room. Well, I twirled around the room.

Sometimes, you just have to relax a little and be in the fourth grade.

Oh, and...I wore my favorite pants today. And walked around with my fly down for most of the day. I'm still me.

Due to a soccer game and a required-before-coming-to-Wednesday-night-dinner-club viewing of LOST, it is WAY past my bedtime. And there is quite the hornery Shih Tzu next to me that is making me aware of that.

Peace out.
