The girl with the flower in her hair

Hi. My name’s Jen. Remember me?

So, I’ve been gone a while. I wrote two different posts about it. And they both sounded bitter and pitiful. So I’m not sharing them.

I’m just going on with my life, and possibly getting back to the blog. Of course, now that I’ve decided I might think about blogging again, the interwebs are down at my house. Figures.

Last night was the YL crud war. There were water balloons, eggs, flour, shaving cream, and anything the kids could find to bring. It was messy to say the least.  But it was fun, and that’s what counts. That and the pink flower in my hair.

Hopefully I’ll get a better picture than this one, because I’m not enough of a photo shop ninja to axe the double chin and cheesy grin I’m sporting in this picture. I asked one of the other leaders to take a couple of pictures of me with my camera, and looking at them, you’d think she’d never operated a camera before. Not sure what was up with that…

As for the absence and the blog, I don’t know if I’ll keep posting or just check in every now and then. I’ve been quietly busy, and just haven’t felt at all like writing. Yes, I’ve been in a bit of a funk, and I don’t think it’s going anywhere anytime soon.  So we’ll just see what happens.
