The Aunt and The Cousins came to town, and fun was to be had by all.
Here's the week in pictures
Monday:
Before The Family got here, I went to The Starbucks to get some work done. I had a raspberry truffle that someone had recommended once upon a time. They are quite irresistible. I got some good work done that day, plus a nap.
Tuesday was some hard-core shopping. Hard-core. We spent three hours in one store.
One thing we've worked on this week is driving. Katiebug will inherit my car rather soon, and she needed some driving experience on something that did not have Suburban on it and wasn't eighty feet long.
Let me just say that 40 miles an hour feels extremely fast from the passenger's seat.
Wednesday night, we went to the Magic Time Machine. Where Belle was our waitress. I'm not making that up. I also got my birffday presents from them, and Katiebug so delightfully decorated the packages for me. Yes, that is The Uncle jumping out of my birffday cake. It was special.
Thursday was a busy day that brought about many pictures. The girls had hair appointments all in a row, and Kells Bells was exhausted.
Katiebug also had hair appointments, but she also had a special appointment between her eyebrows and wax. For the first time. It was high drama that needed to be documented on camera.
Thursday afternoon, I went with The Aunt to help take some senior pictures, and to get some practice under my belt. After we took the pictures, Katiebug and my parents and I all went to the In-N-Out Burger to see what the fuss was all about.
It was not too bad. I'm glad we didn't wait in lines wrapped around buildings like when the restaurant first opened up.
Thursday night I finished the second book in the trilogy I'm reading. It's very similar to the Hunger Games (which I think I'll be rereading on Monday.) Now I have to wait until November for the third. Sigh.
Today is my spring break day. I snoozed late, and then went and got a facial. It was delightful and lovely.
As for the rest of the day, I came home and packed up all of my fall/winter clothes and pulled out all of my spring/summer clothes.
It's been a long day.
I'm linking up with...
