Now that I have internet access in my room, I can get some work done...you know, lesson plans, cool internet activities, the usual. Or... I can check up on all of my blog reading and posting and check out iTunes. In which I found a new "list". Of 80's rock covers. It's awesome. A couple of them I already have, like the Atari's "Boys of Summer", Audio Adrenaline's "Let My Love Open the Door," and a cover of my second-favorite song: 311's cover of The Cure's "Love Song." Some that I'm excited about:
* "Under Pressure" by The Used and My Chemical Romance (sweet)
* "I Melt With You" by Bowling For Soup (which led me to a whole album of covers!)
* "Sharp Dressed Man" by Brad Paisley
* "Where the Streets Have No Name" by Chris Tomlin (why is every Christian artist turning into a U2 cover band? I heard Delirious' "In the Name of Love" on KLTY today!)
* "Keep Your Hands to Yourself" by Billy Currington
* "If You Leave" by Nada Surf
* "In Between Days" by Ben Folds
* "With or Without You" by Grits
Looks like I have a new playlist on my hands!
"Summer of '69" by MxPx is pretty good.
ReplyDeleteAnd, what the heck are you doing listening to KLTY? Who DOES that?
As for the KLTY, I have this to say: I was coming from the gym, and after 45 minutes on the treadmill I claim momentary lack of oxygen to the brain.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I have contributing factors: 1. I have 12 radio stations to choose from. 2. I have no iTrip (mine broke and corrupted my iPod). 3. I have ADHD. So, I am the channel changing queen, and sometimes it lands there. But not often. And I'd never admit it. Even though I just did. But I still deny it. Typo. Forget we ever talked.
