An odd grocery list

It’s for a science project…I swear!
My grocery list:
ice cream
2 bags m & m’s
Chocolate chips
White chocolate chips
Peanut butter chips
M & m baking chips
Chocolate syrup
They really are science projects. We’re studying layers of the Earth and rocks.
If you open the Oreo, add a dollop of syrup, and an m.m, you get a cross section of the Earth, with all four layers represented.
As for all the chocolate chips and the bread…the three different types of rocks. Did you even know there were three different types of rocks? I didn’t until I taught second grade.
Updated to add: Okay, I’m certifiably insane to let my kids play with all of this stuff. It did not end well. I’d like to send my sincerest apologies to the custodial staff at my school for the abundance of chocolate chips mushed into the carpet and the trail of chips leading to the bathroom…

  1. After 19 years of youth ministry, I can't tell you how many grocery store lines I wound up in that had similar items.

I always enjoyed watching the clerk ring up 1,000 marshmallows, 8 Hershey syrups, sour punch straws, pipe cleaners, a dozen eggs, four bananas and 3 rolls of kite string.
