Right Now

Right now, my kids are finishing up their math work. Or just getting started. You never know when there's a sub.

Right now, I'm sitting on the couch, still in my pajamas, with a snoring bulldog right next to me.

Today, my kids will do all of the normal everyday things.
Today, I will eventually get up and get ready, and then go down to the depot destrict and do a little vintage shopping.

But alas, tonight, while they are finishing up their dinner and homework, I'll be hopping a jet plane back to see them. Because tomorrow's field trip day. And anything can happen on field trip day.

Aahh...vacation.

  1. Hi Jennifer,

I just spent an inappropriate amount of time reading months and months worth of your blog.

It was funny and engaging and really I just couldn't stop reading (and also I am on heavy medication from the dentist, but I think that only factors in a little bit).

I wanted to thank you for linking me in your sidebar (which is how I found your blog) and your silly but sweet comment about wanting to be me.

I think you are very funny and sweet and obviously love the Lord and you teach second grade *and* work with teenagers which means you are a candidate for sainthood, so I should want to be you.

I also think you should write a book. Have you ever read, "Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life". It's so good and your blog reminds me of that.

I really want to say more, but I'm thinking I need to lay down soon (heavy medication)but I am putting you in my bloglines so I can come back and read about your kids and your baristo Josh and your guitar lessons.

    Have a great week,

    ♥ Melissa~

  2. That made my day! Thank you so much for the note! Blogger never emails me my comments and it emailed me yours for some reason and it made my day!

I'm just now understanding and accepting that I'm a creative individual, so I see creative gurus like you and hope to some day be that wonderful!

I have read that book and loved it! It was just random enough for me! I've toyed with the idea of writing a book now and then, just never really know where to start!

    Thanks for the sweet comment!
