One other addition to the reason for routine...I totally think the manager of Firehouse was flirting with me. Of course, since I rarely interact with singles, I wasn't quite sure what to do.
Junk Binder Books- my new creative obsession
I went to the local Half-Price bookstore on a mission yesterday. And I accomplished said mission. I bought four hardback books on clearance, with the most expensive of the four being $4.
Creative housings for all my scrappy ideas are hard to come by these days, so when I found this online, I knew it was for me. So, these new books are going to be my new scrapbooks:
- The Life and Times of Mexico: I've been to Mexico on mission trips for five years now. And all of the pictures are on my external hard drive. Time to put them into a book.
- The Book of God: I think I'm going to use this one to document my faith. I've been toying with the idea of doing something more concrete to express my faith, and my journal is not open for public viewing, so I think I'm going to use this to explore my faith in a more artistic way.
- Seeing Mary Plain: for my Christmas book.
- Renoir: His life, art, and letters: Renoir is my favorite artist. I found this coffee-table sized book for $3. I was so excited, because I can gut the book and cut out the prints. And the book spine itself will house all of my creative ideas. I've been looking for something to hold all of my inspirations, from magazine clippings, to song lyrics, to pictures to scrapbook later. This will do very nicely.
Now I've got to go gut some books...
