So, I just came from a meeting at a house with two dogs, and someone is discovering that fact. And when she's done sniffing, she probably won't be speaking to me for a while...
This morning, I was faced with quite a conundrum. I turned the television on to get some background noise while getting ready for church (I know I should have put on worship music, but this is kind of how I roll.) I hit the guide button and found two choices: Grosse Point Blank and Say Anything. Two of my favorite movies of all time. What's a girl to do with that much John-Cusack-Joan-Cusak-Jeremy-Piven goodness can a girl stand before church?
I chose Grosse Point Blank because it wouldn't suck me into it as easily as Say Anything, and it has an incredible soundtrack to start my day. Who doesn't want to start Sunday with the Clash and the Cure?
However, both movies started at the exact same time, and I was able to switch just in time for the first date in Say Anything, which is one of my favorite parts of the movie. The other, of course, is the boom box scenario. Let's just reflect on that for a moment...mmmm...
Okay. Now that's over. I met with my YoungLife group today. This week I'm starting a new Bible study with about ten soccer-playing rock stars that masquerade as high school juniors. This is going to be a journey for us all. I can't wait to see where it goes.
