She has no idea

So, maxi dresses are all the rage, and have been for a couple of summers now. Last summer, I bought my third dress. My mother was with me, and if she hadn't have loved the print of the dress, she wouldn't have let me buy it. She thinks three is too many.

She has no idea.

Let's take a sneak peek into my closet, shall we?
1. Grey with flowers along the bottom
2. Turquiose paisley print
3. Strapless brown and turquoise
4. Strapless khaki pink and yellow
5. Blue and grey paisley
6. White halter
7. Flower cammo
8. Pink and black paisley
9. Orange and brown trendy print
10. Purple bohemian
11. Grey paisley

Now. I am aware that's a lot of maxi dresses.

But.

It's no secret I'm a dress girl. I will wear a dress over jeans and a tee shirt any day of the week, and do most days of the week.  And each of my dresses has a different function.

Number 4 was only $7, and doesn't fit well, so it's a house dress. I pretty much wear it every afternoon, when I come home from working out and it's too early to put on pj's.

1,7,8,9, and 11 are school/church dresses. For when I need to look and feel feminine and professional, but have about ten minutes to get ready.

A couple are left over from last summer, and haven't been in the rotation much.

Number one I wear for travel, and during the summer because of the spaghetti straps. That one is my favorite and I could wear it about every day.

And then there's number 5. I haven't worn it in two summers. I wore it once for a wedding, but haven't worn it since, because it was before the whole trend had truly caught on. And now. Now it's a little... snug. Or a lot snug. But I can't get rid of it because I'm totally going to lose like 30 pounds or so by next Tuesday or Wednesday, so I'll wear it then. K?

If only my mother knew how many of the dresses I really own.
