Fight the power. Resist the urge. Don't do it.

I am going to share with you a recipe that I would urge you not to make.

It is a recipe The Aunt got a while back and made for breakfast and I have been in love with it ever since.
In love with Breakfast Roll Ups.
In theory it makes enough to feed four or five people for breakfast, but if you eat it all before everyone else wakes up, then it really only feeds one for breakfast.

Look. Here's a picture of Daisy. She's saying "Hey! Don't make these! I know how you get when you make these!"

Actually, she's saying "Hey! Gimme some! Gimme some now! Step away from the bowl and no one gets hurt!"

She's also wondering why she's sideways. Me too, Daisy. Me too.
So, here's what you need:
- loaf of white bread
- one pkg cream cheese (I'm always partial to whipped)
- 1 cup sugar
- another cup of sugar for something else
- cinnamon to mix with the other cup of sugar
- stick of butter (Paula's proud)

First, cut the crusts off the bread and flatten it with a rolling pin (or an old Fuse bottle). Then cut the slices in half vertically.

Next, mix up the cup of sugar and the pkg of cream cheese. I believe the correct baking term is 'cream'. Since that happened to be a setting on my mixer, I went for it. Once you get this step completed, you will want to just eat the bowl and forget the rest of the recipe. Don't. You'll see why in a minute.

I would encourage you to lick the beaters clean. Don't make eye contact with the dog because she will try to puppy-dog-eyes you into sharing. I advise against it.

Here is where I want to tell you of my belief that the clouds of heaven will be made of cream cheese and sugar mixed together, and whilst in heaven (because I've already lived through the hell of August in Texas) I am quite certain I will continuously get in trouble for trying to eat the clouds of heaven.

I digress.
The next step is to fill the little half-pieces of bread with the cream cheese deliciousness. When you roll them up, the mixture will overflow out of the side, and you will need to get that cleaned up with your fingers. And then lick your fingers. Delish.

After that, melt the stick of butter and roll those bad boys in the butter, then coat them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Drool with anticipation.

Here's a little tip. Stick them in the freezer for quite a while to get them prepped to bake.

Then, stick them in the oven at 350 for 15 minutes. If you overfill them like I did, they will be all oozy.

Then, try your darndest not to eat the entire panful in one sitting.

I dare you.
