It kinda makes me feel like I have a life.
(don't be foolish- of course I don't have a life).
I picked out a new kit {sunshine!}, and one of my goals is to mix things up a bit.
(and not end the year with four months of pictures and exactly zero months of journaling).
Here's the full spread:
I scored tickets to the Heart of Dallas Bowl, and was smacked on the rear by a stranger. This day needed a whole page to itself.
And here's the right page:
The right page is not my favorite... I guess because I used a lot of creativity on the left page. I even used a non-A design page protector. I do like how I mounted the pic of the copy machine on the Everyday journaling card, as I feel like I stand in front of that freaking thing every.single.day of my life.
I have a love/hate relationship with sharing. Anybody besides myself that makes it into the PL album has to be blurred, which is a giant pain in the rocky road. See HERE for an explanation of that last part.
I haven't finished the title page yet. It's not as easy when you don't use the kit cards, or the design A, and when you change your mind every eleventy hundred minutes. I may show it off around week thirty.
Some of my goals for this PL album this year are:
- to get myself in the album more often. I'm already in it every week, save this past week, so I'm off to a good start.
- create my own title card every week most weeks, using a picture. Some weeks last year I wasn't willing to give up the title card slot for a pre made card, but I had a pattern going.
- do more journaling directly on the picture. Quite a bit of my journaling is a phrase of a few words, which is not enough for a full card, and easy to put on a picture. Especially when I plan ahead and take the picture with some negative space on it.
So, there you have it. I'm mostly up to date so far- save a little journaling.
Not bad for four whole weeks into the new year.
Your cursing in ice cream flavors cracked me up! Love your picture of the PL catch-up and the copy machine. So great to add really good representations of your day-to-day life.
ReplyDeleteSwearing in Ice Cream flavors is brilliant. Going to have to try that.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the Sunshine kit. You've set some great goals! Good luck!
Ugh, I hear you on the blurring out faces! I have to do that with most of the kids we know and since my husband and I ageed to keep our kids' names private I have to blur those out too. Sometimes it hardly feels worth the effort. Sunshine looks great on your pages! I'm still on the fence about that one, I think it might be too hip for me.
ReplyDeleteI am working on getting in to album more, too! I love your pages!
